asked
questions

Once you have placed your order and payment has been confirmed, your lights will be delivered to your nominated address within 4 weeks!

Please note that we cannot send your lights to you without full payment or a PO number

Your learning resources will be sent to you once the order has been confirmed so that you can access them before the lights arrive and prepare for your session.

Your lights are only shipped once payment has been made. You will receive an email confirming that they have been dispatched once they are on their way to you.

No, you can run the program whenever best suits your school’s timetable. Once you receive the lights, please assemble them and contact SolarBuddy to have them picked within 3 months of the original delivery date.

Absolutely! There is an additional cost for this, and it depends on whether it is virtual or in person.

Simply email enquiries@solarbuddy.org to find out how we can add even more impact to your session.

Not a problem. Simply send us an email to update us on the change in date so that we can update our records. Just remember we just need them returned to us within 3 months of the original delivery date.  The longer the lights are with you, the battery life depletes. Sending them back as soon as possible ensures that the child receiving your light will be able to use them for the greatest time.
Do not worry, we ask you to please ensure all lights, letters, screw drivers and spare parts are returned to us in your yellow bucket. All out lights are carefully QC’d before they are distributed to a child living in energy poverty.

When you have assembled your lights simply request a collection here and we will arrange a courier to collect them from your location.

ASAP! As soon as you have assembled your lights, please place them back in your yellow bucket and request your collection. The longer the lights are with you, the battery life decreases which means that the child receiving their gift of light will not have the opportunity to use it to its full capacity. ALL assembled solar lights must be returned to SolarBuddy within 28 calendar days unless notified prior or there is a $200 admin charge applied.

We ask you not to keep any lights for personal use. By assembling your light, you are helping a child living in energy poverty. The more lights we can send to children, the greater impact we have.

100% of solar lights ordered must be returned to SolarBuddy for quality control and distribution. If this does not occur, SolarBuddy will charge a replacement fee of $10 for each unreturned solar light.

In our ongoing support of sustainability, the instruction manual is digital and is available in the digital resource kit emailed to educator / event organiser.

We have chosen the countries we work in based on need and opportunity. We assess the communities living in energy poverty in each country we work in, and actively seek out partnerships with local agencies that specialise in educational development who can assist with distribution to schools.

Absolutely! We would love to hear from you! Please email our team on enquiries@solarbuddy.org and we will be happy to help!
